Here is the text of the standard KEDIT for Windows 1.6.1 license agreement:
Mansfield Software Group, Inc. distributes this software for use in one of two ways. The license may be dedicated to a single person who uses the software on one or more computers (for example, an office computer during the day and a home computer during the evening). Alternatively, the license may be dedicated to a single workstation (for example, a single-user computer, or a terminal attached to a multi-user system), used by a single person at a time but possibly by several individuals in the course of a day. Copies of the machine readable programs may be made only in support of legitimate use of the programs under the terms of the license.
You may store copies of the machine readable programs on a network server and access the programs through the network, provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the software covering all workstations that will concurrently access the software through the network.
You may transfer the program, license and all of your rights under this license to another party if the other party agrees to accept the terms and conditions of this license.
Mansfield Software Group, Inc. warrants that the material of any software disk on which it supplies the software is not defective, that the program documentation is substantially complete, and that the software functions substantially as described in the program documentation.
Mansfield Software Group, Inc. excludes any and all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and limits the end-user's remedy to return of the software package to the dealer or to Mansfield Software Group, Inc. for replacement or refund. Mansfield Software Group, Inc. excludes any warranty coverage for incidental and consequential damages.
This limited warranty is for 3 months from your purchase of the software and is extended only to the original licensee of the software.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
